Back to School

So I'm working now as a teaching intern and the kids are lovely.  Everything sort of blends in a strange hodgepodge of memory and time and full circles.  I'm glad the weekend is here though as I need to clean-up a bit and get a fresh start for work next week.

Sometimes, when I get to the classroom ahead of my mentor, we have little discussions – me and the boys – about the previous lesson and I love the way they light up when you share the little tricks you used to memorise or understand things during your own O-level preparation.  It is about as heartwarming as the exuberant "Byeee Madaaam!" you get from a student running past the bus stop you're waiting at.  Those and many more things have made this past week such a joy to go through; I cannot help, but feel excited for the coming week.
